Thermocouple

We’ve had our incinolet or 6 years and this year replaced the heating coil, thermocouple and fan for the first time. The incinolet is in our Treehouse and it gets used almost every day from May to November. The hardest part was removing the thermocouple. The instructions did not say “remove the thermocouple adapter” which was needed for the thermocouple to come out. After calling tech support, they suggested removing the “adapter” and the thermocouple came out easily. The new heating coil that was shipped to us came with only 1 nut and 1 washer on each threaded end. Tech support said it should have been shipped with 2 more nuts and washers on each threaded end and put some in the mail for me. Tech support was VERY helpful and I was glad I called.

My wife and I bought our 26 acre horse farm in the fall of 2013. It came with an incinolet in the bath room off the tack room in the barn. I think it was at least 10 years old when we got the farm. It stopped working and we diagnosed the problem to the controller and ordered a new one, plugged it in and it worked. Two years later it stopped working again and we diagnosed it to the Thermocouple and heater. Ordered new ones installed them and it works again. I am most impressed with the trouble shooting guide in the manual. It gets you to the problem and lets you know what you need to replace.
