Haven’t bought one yet – still in research stage. I like what I see, but what is the impact on the electric bill? I want to install in the basement and if you figure 3-4 flushes per day at approx. I hr. incineration per “flush”, what does that calculate out to in electrical usage? I understand KWH prices vary and ancillary charges also vary, but there should be a rough estimate somewhere. Please advise

I can’t give you 5 stars because I have a couple of questions before laying down the 2 grand. You say the incineration period lasts an hour, and if I have two people who need to use the restroom, and one follows the other, do I have to run this per hour per person? While the incinerator is running, can you still utilize the toilet?

My wife and I bought our 26 acre horse farm in the fall of 2013. It came with an incinolet in the bath room off the tack room in the barn. I think it was at least 10 years old when we got the farm. It stopped working and we diagnosed the problem to the controller and ordered a new one, plugged it in and it worked. Two years later it stopped working again and we diagnosed it to the Thermocouple and heater. Ordered new ones installed them and it works again. I am most impressed with the trouble shooting guide in the manual. It gets you to the problem and lets you know what you need to replace.

We have had ours as the primary potty in a house of three people. It has functioned very well, and visitors are always intrigued by the fact that we don’t make sewage water that has to be sprayed out by an aerobic septic system. Be sure to consider your vent placement. We relocated ours, as the slight burning smell wasn’t ideal when it vented out the front of the house. It’s not a terrible smell, but it’s best not to vent it by your front door!

Just what I ordered, delivered quickly and fits perfectly. I just wonder how long these are supposed to last though? My initial pan insert was 5 or 6 years old and our toilet is only used about 6 months out of the year so basically I got about 3 years out of the original pan insert before it started leaking and cracking.

shipping was a problem this time, the box was coming apart big time and the post office had tried to tape up things. this comes UPS to my post office so the damage occurred was before it was dropped off. other than that, everything has always gone smooth as can be

We received our toilet quickly, it is in a weekend getaway in the hill country. Have used it several times and it works great. Easy to install, just plug it in (110 model) and cut a vent hole for it, pretty simple. Like to support a Texas company also.

If you only have periodic access to electricity, can you use the toilet and burn the contents later? If so, what would be a sensible use limit? Assuming you have your camper out where there are no hookups for a couple of days or something like that.

If I put one of these units in a basement beneath an existing bathroom on the first floor, can it be vented using the existing vent upstairs?
